Brown doubles up, Bodden Town wins Charity Shield

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – A second half double from striker Ricoh Brown propelled Bodden Town to a 2-0 victory over Elite Sports Club in the 2014-2015 Charity Shield.

Brown gave the 300 plus spectators in the Annex a treat with a pair of second half strikes out of the top drawer. After an otherwise even first half, Brown broke the deadlock with a sublime finish.

In the 56th minute Brown picked up a volley just inside the area and hammered it past Joseph James. On both goals midfielder Jamal Clarke was credited with the assist. The second strike was orchestrated by the diminutive midfielder who on a swift counter attack played a mouth watering cross into the Brown, who after a less than perfect first touch, regained composure to slot past Elite’s keeper and a sliding defender.

The Community Shield was presented by Cayman Islands First Vice-President Bruce Blake to the victorious Bodden Time side whose Technical Director Elbert McLean is hoping they can win the remaining three trophies this season for a historic clean sweep.
