Cayman loses CFU Women’s opener


Providenciales – Phoenetia Browne scored a hat trick to propel St Kitts and Nevis past the Cayman Islands 5-0.

Browne scored in the 12th, 26th, 90th minutes in an impressive performance for the Sugar City ladies. Kerisha Powell (39th) and Chelsey Harris (81st) also found the target to complete the victory.

St Kitts move on to their second fixture on Sunday against the hosts brimming with confidence, after Turks went down to Bermuda 5-0.

Double strikes from Shuntae Todd (14th, 17th) and Cheyra Bell (27th. 64th) engineered the victory for the Bermudians against a brave Turks and Caicos team, playing in their first international fixture at home.

Aaliyah Nolan (54th) also found the nets for Bermuda.

Bermuda face the Cayman Islands on Sunday in the opening fixture before Turks and Caicos face St Kitts and Nevis.
