Charlton celebrate

Charlton Athletic justified their favouritism to win the first Cayman Airways Invitational Youth Cup at the T.E Mcfield Annex on Sunday night.

Charlton topped a tough Real Espana team from Honduras 3-0 in the keenly contested tournament final. Goals from Ben Dempsey, Albie Morgan and Miguel Scarlett completed the victory for Charlton who only conceded one goal in three matches.

Captain Dan Birch and diminutive midfielder Nathaniel Wan shared the tournament MVP award.

In the consolation final, Cayman B got past Cayman A 1-0 thanks to a strike from Kamani Ebanks.
