Webb fires Cayman past Curacao

Willemstad, Curacao – Martin Webb scored at the end of the first half to hand Cayman a 1-0 victory over host Curacao on Wednesday at the Caribbean Football Union Under-20 Men’s qualifiers in Curacao.

Webb scored in the 45th minute and silenced the 2000 strong home crowd at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in the capital.

Cayman returns to action on Friday against St Kitts and Nevis.

In the opening match, double strikes from Tijhaun Isaac and Vinceroy Nelson propelled St Kitts and Nevis to a 7-0 victory over Anguilla.

Isaac (3rd, 62nd) and Nelson (23rd, 47th) fired St Kitts to the top of the standings with a dominating performances over their neighbours.

Yusuf Saunders (12th), Carlos Bertie (61st) and Tahir Hanley (77th) completed the scoring for St Kitts and Nevis.

On Friday, St Kitts tackles Anguilla.

The teams are vying for a spot in the final round of qualifying scheduled for September in Trinidad and Tobago.
